Once the calling plan is added by your Administrator to your Microsoft Account, simply open Microsoft Teams, and you will see a “Calls” icon on the left side. Please click this.
2. Your interface should look like the screenshot below. If it does not, please fully restart Teams (as shown in step 2.5), as your Teams client may need to manually re-sync with the Microsoft servers before this change applies
Step 2.5: If you don’t see the dialer on the left side and “Work number:” underneath this, please restart Teams fully by either fully restarting your computer, or opening the tray, right clicking the Teams icon, and clicking “Quit Teams” as shown below, wait 30 seconds, then reopen Teams.
3. In the dialer interface shown, you may use the on-screen buttons to dial a number, or select the “type a name or number” box and either enter a phone number to dial outbound to any phone number, or type a name to call other users internally. Also, notably, Teams will convert text to numbers as also shown in the third screenshot.
Note the second entry in the list here, which shows the ability to call people internally by name
4. Press Call to place your Teams VoIP phone call
5. When in the call, you have some options, listed across the top of the call window, similar to a Teams meeting. You have a dialpad for pressing buttons when prompted (i.e: “press 1 for sales, press 2 for support”), you have a Hold button to place the caller on hold, People if you want to add people to make this a conference call, mic to mute your microphone, and leave to end the call

6. Finally, to receive calls, these will show up as notifications, the same way that standard Teams calls would, all you need to do is either accept or decline the call accordingly
